President Biden has amended the Major Disaster Declaration for Guam to authorize greater federal assistance to survivors of Typhoon Mawar, giving them access to greater resources to replace or repair homes, secure loans, and participate in other disaster recovery programs. Assistance is available for those without insurance, and those who are underinsured. To register for federal assistance, Guam residents may visit DisasterAssistance.gov or download the FEMA App. Nearly 550 FEMA personnel are already on the ground, coordinating with federal, territorial, and commonwealth officials to assist with the ongoing response and recovery.
