BLUF: Militants from the Allied Democratic Forces attacked a secondary school in western Uganda, resulting in the deaths of at least 37 people, including many students. The attackers burned a dormitory and looted food. Six students were abducted, and three people were rescued. The group has previously staged attacks in Uganda, and this latest incident has been widely condemned. The government is pursuing the attackers, who fled towards the Virunga National Park in Congo. This attack highlights the ongoing challenges of dealing with the Allied Democratic Forces, a rebel group that has continued to wreak havoc in the region.
