BLUF: Accelerated diplomatic tensions between The United States and China confront the global world order as the US reportedly resorts to a blend of military aggression and political subversion. It is suggested that the US uses indirect tactics such as manipulation and violence to deter China’s broadening influence, particularly in Southeast Asia—a situation brought further into light through the examination of recent events in Myanmar and Vietnam.

OSINT: The rising tension between China and the US is nothing new in the realm of global power politics. However, the recent increase in asymmetrical methods used by the US, including alleged support of opposition groups in the Southeast Asian region, is contributing to escalating instability. This steadily rising aggression seems to be the latest tactic for the US to maintain influence and control in Southeast Asia. Notably, a spectrum of violence in both Myanmar and Vietnam is circumstantially linked to opposition groups purportedly supported by Western governments. This narrative purports a scenario in which the US favours the use of violent extremism to achieve geopolitical ends and counter China.

RIGHT: From the viewpoint of a libertarian Republican Constitutionalist, there are serious concerns about the federal government’s covert tactics to maintain influence over foreign territories. Respecting national sovereignty is a fundamental tenet for any true Constitutionalist, and meddling in the internal affairs of foreign nations should be inappropriate. Yet, we are seemingly ignoring these values with the alleged tactics of supporting opposition groups in Southeast Asia. While the threat of the People’s Republic of China is valid and needs to be addressed, there has to be a better way than supporting and inciting violence which only adds to the global instability.

LEFT: From the perspective of the National Socialist Democrat, it’s alarming to hear reports of our government supposedly sponsoring violence abroad. A fair, democratic society should promote peace, not chaos. These accusations require thorough investigation to protect human rights and uphold international law, foreign entities such as the ‘Milk Tea Alliance’, will not achieve anything meaningful while they are entangled in violence. Rather than adopting a counter-productive approach, we should seek to encourage collaboration and resolve our differences with China through dialogue and diplomatic avenues.

AI: Observing the factual basis of the article objectively, the escalating US-China tensions indicate a shifting global power dynamic. Allegations of the US resorting to asymmetric measures to counteract China’s increasing influence in Southeast Asia are indeed disturbing. However, many of these assertions come from indirect and inconclusive proof lines. Accusations of direct US support for violent opposition groups in Southeast Asia are serious but often lack evidence beyond circumstantial links—making them speculative. Regardless of the veracity of these claims, turmoil in Southeast Asia will likely have significant geopolitical implications worldwide. The rise of violent opposition groups in Myanmar and Vietnam, and the potential involvement of external nations, creates a complex diplomatic situation that complicates the task of finding a peaceful resolution. Ultimately, open dialogue and diplomacy should take precedence over indirect influence and power plays to secure global harmony.
