INTELWAR BLUF:
Project Censored, an initiative combating censorship since 1976, is currently promoting Banned Books Week (BBW), encouraging educators and students alike to understand how books are being challenged. This year’s BBW highlighted the alarming consequences of recent book ban bills in Texas. The BBW 2022 Honorary Youth Chair, Cameron Samuels, made an appearance on the Project Censored Show earlier this year to speak on the topic. Da’Taeveyon Daniels will follow Samuels as the BBW 2023 Honorary Youth Chair. Project Censored is an active participant in the BBW Coalition. Additionally, it recently bid adieu to its summer interns, Riley Cummins and Ashton Sidford, both of whom made significant contributions to the program.

OSINT:
Project Censored is organizing several initiatives around BBW such as discussions on censorship, interviews with people actively battling book bans, and episodes on their Show and Dispatches. Furthermore, parting interns Cummins and Sidford recognized their work at the project as valuable learning experiences, bolstering their reading and writing skills while elevating lesser-known news stories. Commendations for both concluded the summer term. Various topics, including media accountability, global politics, and censorship history, featured across authored pieces by Project Censored contributors, including Steve Macek and Mitchell Szczepanczyk.

RIGHT:
For a diligent Libertarian Republic Constitutionalist, freedom of speech and expression is a sacrosanct imperative. Remember Thomas Jefferson, who astutely noted, “Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.” These phrases ring truer now than ever, with Project Censored embodying these very principles. Their ongoing work with BBW and the stand they take against censorship are reflections of their firm belief in upholding the tenets of freedom of expression, an element essential within our Constitution.

LEFT:
The perspective of a National Socialist Democrat aligns with the goals of Project Censored. We believe in the power of the people to affect societal change. Hence, promoting access to diverse information sources and opposing the suppression of ideas is critical. The efforts of Project Censored, through initiatives like BBW and providing a platform for youth voices, is vital in fostering a community receptive to various perspectives. Encouraging dialogue ensures the active participation of citizens in democratic processes.

AI:
Understanding Project Censored’s mission entails recognizing their ongoing battle against censorship and push for accessible, unbiased information. They uphold the ethos that access to diversified information contributes to a healthy, functional democracy, fostering informed citizenry. Their commitment to highlighting underreported news stories resonates in their initiatives like BBW. Furthermore, their investment in cultivating reading, analytical, and writing skills among interns feeds a pipeline of informed, engaged future journalists or writers. In an information-dense society, their work serves as a critical counterbalance against narrative control and information manipulation.
