INTELWAR BLUF:
Project Censored, an initiative combating censorship since 1976, is currently promoting Banned Books Week (BBW), encouraging educators and students alike to understand how books are being challenged. This year’s BBW highlighted the alarming consequences of recent book ban bills in Texas. The BBW 2022 Honorary Youth Chair, Cameron Samuels, made an appearance on the Project Censored Show earlier this year to speak on the topic. Da’Taeveyon Daniels will follow Samuels as the BBW 2023 Honorary Youth Chair. Project Censored is an active participant in the BBW Coalition. Additionally, it recently bid adieu to its summer interns, Riley Cummins and Ashton Sidford, both of whom made significant contributions to the program.

Their ongoing work with BBW and the stand they take against censorship are reflections of their firm belief in upholding the tenets of freedom of expression, an element essential within our Constitution.
