BLUF: The complex web of conflicts and struggles between peoples and nations becomes more palpable when looked at through the prism of recent violence in the Middle East. The discourse dissects the human dimension of these conflicts, emphasizing both the horrific impact on unfortunate victims and the socio-political convolutions that fuel these age-long hostilities.

OSINT:

A grim scenario has unfurled in the Middle East, with lives abruptly extinguished and countless others left trembling in its aftermath. The Israeli population has been directly hit, seemingly forced to bear the brunt of a violence unfolding on a scale unseen since World War II. A music festival turned into a horrifying spectacle of despair and destruction when entire families ceased to exist; the young and old, seizing moments of joy, instead find their lives snatched away. All of these while some are forced into involuntary captivity.

However, the narrative must also pivot towards the 2 million civilians corralled within the confines of Gaza, tossed, and tumbled in an inhospitable enclave they have called home for generations. The Palestinians of Gaza have known nothing but poverty, displacement, and cyclical bombing campaigns, flagrantly flouting international norms. Moreover, Israel’s government includes members who overtly seek to rid the region of Palestinians.

An unfortunate narrative that has taken hold amplifies and reinforces the dichotomy between “Israeli victims” and “Palestinian terrorists,” circumventing the complexities and shared experiences of dispossession, injustice, and trauma. And yet, both communities cannot escape the hands that manipulate them amidst discourses steeped in political bias.

RIGHT:

A constitutionally oriented libertarian perspective propounds the principle of non-aggression and non-intervention, particularly in disputes outside our immediate territory. Considering this context, the American government’s role should be minimal, if not non-existent, in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, respecting the sovereignty of nations. By promoting dialogue and negotiations rather than military patronage, they can foster a more conducive environment for peace.

LEFT:

National Socialist Democrats would argue in favor of promoting policies of humanitarian aid and working towards a two-state solution respecting the rights and sovereignty of both Israelis and Palestinians. From this viewpoint, the U.S. should reassess its unconditional support for any party involved in the conflict, pushing instead for diplomatic resolutions and observance of human rights.

AI:

Analyzing the narrative discourse, an AI perspective would concern itself with identifying, if not totally eliminating, inherent bias and subjectivity. Clear dichotomies painted by the narrative, such as “victim-aggressor” tropes, can perpetuate misunderstanding and polarization. In the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, an unbiased approach should analyze the turmoil as a complex and interwoven socio-political problem rather than simplifying it into a stark binary opposition.
