The ability to read DNA and consequentially, gene expression, can be influenced by these shifts.

Jop Kind’s group has recently unveiled a new technique, MAbID, which allows researchers to study different histone modifications and proteins that bind to chromatin, all at once. This efficient method lets them understand how these gene expression mechanisms connect and interact on a cellular level. We can apply MAbID to answer some fundamental scientific questions, explore how gene regulation impacts human or animal development, and to research diseases linked to anomalies in gene regulation, such as cancer.
