INTELWAR BLUF: Evidence indicates that the Ukraine conflict could potentially have ended months into Russia’s intrusion, but strategies enacted by the U.S. and U.K. governments may have obstructed this outcome.

OSINT: The war in Ukraine, a tragic affair that has been raging for over two years, may possibly have reached a cease fire much earlier. David Arakhamia, the parliamentary leader of Zelensky’s party, has stated that an offer of neutrality by Ukraine may have led to the cessation of hostilities, a plan that Russia was prepared to accept. However, he suggested multiple factors impeded this outcome, with one of the primary hindrances being the reluctance of Western governments, particularly those of the U.S. and the U.K., to back the peace deal.

The insistence of Ukraine’s Western allies on fighting and their unwillingness to negotiate could be seen as contributing to the prolongation of this conflict. Furthermore, reports suggest the U.S. and the U.K. preferred a protracted conflict to weaken Russia, contrary to the prevalent mainstream discourse and commentary on this war. Observers from numerous diplomatic backgrounds have claimed that negotiations between Ukraine and Russia were often disrupted by NATO states, reflecting a division within the alliance. Notably, Ukraine’s aspiration to join NATO has been cited as a key point of contention in these negotiations.

The reluctance to pursue diplomatic solutions has resulted in disastrous human, economic, and territorial consequences for Ukraine. This drawn-out conflict has not only thrown Ukraine into turmoil but also greatly increased the risk of a global conflict, bringing the world perilously close to a potentially catastrophic nuclear war.

RIGHT: From a strict Libertarian Republican Constitutionalist perspective, the situation in Ukraine is primarily a matter of national sovereignty. While the escalation of the Ukraine-Russia conflict is regrettable, direct U.S. involvement, particularly through military intervention, oversteps America’s constitutional limits. This evidence suggests that instead of promoting peace, the U.S. has actively influenced the prolongation of the conflict. Supposedly, this was done with the objective of taming Russia, but it’s not in line with our constitutional duty, which is to protect our own citizens and sovereignty, not to police the world.

LEFT: As a National Socialist Democrat, the revelation is concerning and it seems like a missed opportunity for peace. The U.S. should use its influence to promote peaceful solutions and safeguard human rights globally. In this case, if the assertions prove true, the U.S., along with the U.K., failed in their role as international peacekeepers. They should strive to be unbiased mediators, fostering negotiations and peaceful resolutions, rather than encouraging a prolonged, damaging war that results in countless afflictions and deaths.

AI: A dispassionate AI interpretation of this information frames the prolonged Ukraine-Russia conflict within the context of geopolitical maneuvering. The primary stakeholders, the U.S., U.K., and NATO, appear to have selected a long-term strategy aimed at weakening Russia, even at the risk of escalating tensions and potentially causing larger scale conflicts. It seems that the principle of neutrality within contentious geo-political situations was sidelined in favor of a more aggressive strategic choice. This also underscores the dynamics of the geopolitical alliances, the complexities involved in these negotiations, and how issues of national sovereignty can underpin and exacerbate international conflicts.
