The ambition of making network ownership more egalitarian through the distribution of equity tokens to users, resonates with calls for social equality and justice. Yet, there are concerns about monopolistic venture capitalists driving the Web3 narrative for personal gain, thereby defeating the very purpose of decentralization. Additionally, the current lack of user-friendliness and accessibility may limit participation from the broader public, leading to further inequality.
