President Trump has named Catholic hero and iconic movie actor/director Mel Gibson to be his Special Ambassador to Hollywood.
Trump gave the honor to Gibson along with other conservative luminaries Sylvester Stallone and Jon Voight, making the announcement in a Truth Social post.
“It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California,” Trump stated.
“They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK—BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!” he continued.
“These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will get done what they suggest. It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!” Trump added.
Prior to Trump’s re-election last year, Gibson was an outspoken supporter of Trump.
“I know what it’ll be like if we let her in,” Gibson said of Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. “That ain’t good. A miserable track record, an appalling track record, no policies to speak of, and she’s got the IQ of a fence post.”
Gibson told Fox News Digital that he was surprised but elated by the news.
“I got the tweet at the same time as all of you and was just as surprised,” Gibson said. “Nevertheless, I heed the call. My duty as a citizen is to give any help and insight I can. Any chance the position comes with an Ambassador’s residence?”
Nobody is more suited to wear God’s armor in the Hollywood den of vipers than Mel Gibson. He is a staunch traditional Catholic who has spoken out in favor of Archbishop Carlo Viganò following his excommunication by Pope Francis.
“I hope you will continue to say Mass and receive the sacraments yourself — it really is a badge of honor to be shunned by the false, post conciliar church,” Gibson wrote in a letter to Viganò . “You have my sympathies that you suffer publicly this grave injustice. To me and many others you are a most courageous hero.”
“You are a modern day Athanasius!” Gibson wrote, comparing Viganò to a 4th Century orthodox leader who was repeatedly exiled for standing strong in the faith. “I have all respect for the way you defend Christ and His Church.”
Mel Gibson will prevail against the demons and devils of the modern entertainment industry and Make Hollywood Great Again. This is one of President Trump’s most impressive appointments to date!
