The Department of Justice will be paying out a $22.6 million settlement following a lawsuit alleging sexist discrimination against female applicants by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The settlement came as the result of a 2019 class action lawsuit that claimed female trainees had been forced out of the FBI, not allowed to graduate despite performing up to standard, and had to endure sexual harassment and inappropriate comments from FBI personnel.
The lawsuit claimed the FBI violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 through its systemic unfair treatment of women. The DOJ’s internal investigation confirmed the basis of the lawsuit, discovering that women applying to be agents were dismissed at a disproportionate rate and otherwise cited for “unsuitable” behavior. The FBI, of course, denies all wrongdoing.
“The FBI is committed to fostering a work environment where all of our employees are valued and respected,” the FBI said in a statement. “Diversity is one of our core values, and to effectively accomplish our mission of protecting the American people we need people of different genders, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.”

“The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will be paying $100 million to the victims of pedophile Larry Nassar after the FBI refused to act on evidence that could have prevented Nassar from preying upon countless girls.
In a 2021 report, the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General determined that “despite the extraordinarily serious nature of the allegations and the possibility that Nassar’s conduct could be continuing, senior officials in the FBI Indianapolis Field Office failed to respond to the Nassar allegations with the utmost seriousness and urgency.”
They also discovered that the FBI “did not undertake any investigative activity” for five weeks, refused to transfer appropriate investigative material over to the Lansing, Mich. field office, conducted only one interview in Sept. 2015, and then did “no investigative activity in the matter for more than eight months.”
While the FBI was derelict in their duties, Nassar assaulted at least 100 more women in his role as Team USA doctor and as an osteopathic physician at Michigan State University.”
Unfortunately, the FBI will not be held accountable with this judgment as the money going to these women will all be paid for by the taxpayer. Business as usual will continue within this deep state monolith.
