The terrorist group Boko Haram from Nigeria has declared its loyalty to ISIS, according to an audio message released by its leader Abubakar Shekau. The message states that Boko Haram pledges its “allegiance to the Caliph of the Muslims, Ibrahim ibn Awad ibn Ibrahim al-Husseini al-Qurashi,” who is the leader of ISIS named Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. However, the authenticity of the audio message has not been verified by CNN.
