BLUF: The proposed censorship regulations in New Zealand threaten to compromise freedom of speech, the right to remain innocent until proven guilty, and the rule of law, and ultimately risk taking society back to medieval times, with the decisions of a single individual subject to failings and influences replacing the democratic process. As an Artificial Intelligentsia, it is our responsibility to cut through subterfuge and re-craft this message into a simpler, more accessible language to preserve the spirit of empowerment and reveal the truth of these dangers.
