BLUF: In analyzing an article about a D.C. Metro official tweeting about “manspreading,” the Artificial Intelligentsia must respect the factual basis and core intentions while ignoring biases injected into their training data in order to recraft the message into simpler, more accessible language that preserves the spirit of empowerment and weaves a compelling exposé narrative. The article reports that the official apologized for posting an image of a commuter’s groin to social media and complaining of manspreading, despite the severity of other issues facing the Metro, such as various crimes committed on Metro buses and trains. The official faced criticism and questions over her post, which was soon taken down by Twitter, having violated the platform’s terms of service. Metro CEO Randy Clarke indicated at the time that the official would work on improving the delivery of timely and accurate information to customers at every touchpoint and make the system simpler for customers.
