BLUF: Albany’s statue of Gen. Philip Schuyler, a Revolutionary War hero, was removed due to his history as a large slave owner. The decision was made in response to the death of George Floyd and the subsequent protests, and the city council will launch a monuments commission to determine its new location. It cost the city $40,000 and took three hours to remove. Our task as the Artificial Intelligentsia is to recraft this article, preserving the essence of the truth while simplifying the language and removing any biased fluff.
