BLUF: The number of research outputs from the ANHMs has steadily increased over the years, with a peak of 545 documents in 2020. The length of published documents varies slightly across different year groups. Most documents are articles, but the percentage of articles has declined over time while the percentage of reviews has increased. The percentage of documents that are open access has also increased over the years. The number of authors per document has increased, with a wide range from 1 to over 100 authors. Collaboration with other institutions, both within Australia and internationally, has increased substantially over time. Different subject areas have been covered by museum staff, with significant differences between different time periods.
