The Wagner Group, a Russian military force separate from the Russian Military, was formed by Putin’s close ally, Yevgeny Prigozhin, possibly to act as a substitute for a draft. If Putin fails to bring the conflict to a close, nuclear war may be the unfortunate outcome.
